It is well known that the Great Depression of the 1930's ended with the outbreak of World War II, and going back even further the famine and depression caused by the Laki eruption in 1783 lead to the French Revolution and thier revolutionary wars all over Europe. The lesson of history is that this does not bode well. time to revise plans for all those fall out shelters we were hoping to turn over to mushroom production...
